Walking around on the streets here can sometimes be a bit entertaining. I've noticed since being here that it's just not common practice for people to make any kind of eye contact with each other or smile. I walk around usually with this big smile on my face and occasionally will purposefully look people directly in the face, while grinning, just to see the reaction I get. Course, I have no idea what these people must think of me, but this usually seems to throw people for a complete loop and they look away rather flustered. The apalled/shocked look on their faces is usually enough to nearly make me break out laughing. It makes me chuckle now, just thinking about it.
